Heavenly Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls

Soft, fluffy red velvet dough swirled with cinnamon sugar and topped with a rich cream cheese glaze. A treat that's perfect for brunch or dessert!

Ingredients:

Dough:
• 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
• 1 cup warm milk
• ¼ cup granulated sugar
• 1 large egg
• 2 tbsp cocoa powder
• ½ tsp salt
• 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
• 1-2 tsp red food coloring

Filling:
• ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 tbsp cinnamon

Cream Cheese Glaze:
• 4 oz cream cheese, softened
• 2 tbsp butter, softened
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2-3 tbsp milk

Method

  1. Make the Dough
    • In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes. Add sugar, egg, cocoa powder, butter, food coloring, and salt. Gradually add flour and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
    • Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.

  2. Prepare the Filling
    • Mix butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.

  3. Assemble the Rolls
    • Roll the dough into a 12x18-inch rectangle. Spread the filling evenly. Roll tightly and cut into 10-12 rolls.
    • Place in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30-45 minutes.

  4. Bake
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes.

  5. Cream Cheese Glaze
    • Mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
